It is never too early for your kids to learn how to behave politely. Polite kids grow in to adults who treat others respectfully and know to face any situation with grace and confidence.

Trying to teach manners to childrens especially toddlers can be a very daunting task. The age by age guide will help you figure out when, how and what to teach your child about manners as he grows.

6 months to 1 year
Babies are too young to learn manners. However, by this age they imitate their parents very well. They mimic adult actions and facial expression. It's very neccessary for parents to act in a courteous manners and say "please" and "thank you" while speaking to your baby. This will lay the foundation of teaching good manners to your child in the near future.
