This is the age
when most babies become mobile. From sitting to scooting around on their stomachs to
rocking back, forth and crawling. By the time the baby is 8-9 months old he may put
himself up to a standing position. The baby's play becomes much more vigorous. He can now
grab two toys at one time and slam them together. Children will miss their toys if they
can not see it and will try to search for them.
Soft Toys :
Babies at this age often develop attachment to a particular toy or
blanket. Doctors encourage this connection.
Balls are fun at any age, especially soft and brightly coloured ones.
Soft Blocks :
Show your baby how to stack a few blocks and knock them down.
Moving Toys :
As your baby begins to crawl and move around he will be interested in toys that do
the same movement.
At this age reading books become interactive for the parent and the child.
